Tammy Dubreuil (pictured at right with 2019 NHAR President Dan O'Halloran), a Realtor with Northwind Realty in Whitefield, was the 2019 Good Neighbor Award winner for her continued efforts with the Whitefield Lions Club, who five years ago gathered three of her female friends and lobbied to join the previously all-male organization. They were successful, and Tammy has since taken on the role of treasurer, and has been making a huge impact on behalf of all those served by the Club, particularly the region’s homeless population, ever since.

The NHAR Good Neighbor Award program was established in 2003 to recognize the efforts of New Hampshire REALTORS who are making exceptional contributions to improve the quality of life in their communities. Eligible activities are not limited to real estate or housing issues and may include such things as crime prevention, youth mentoring and homelessness prevention.

Each year, one or two winners are selected from applications and recognized at the NHAR Annual Convention. Winners receive:

  • A portion of the $5,000 award as a donation, in their name, to their community charity
  • Coverage in their local media and on
  • Registration fee to attend the NHAR annual conference in September
  • A prestigious crystal award presented at a time and place of their choice
  • Use of the Good Neighbor Awards logo on their Web site and promotional materials

Amidst the sea of change to which the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS has played witness in its 85 years, one thing that has remained constant is the Realtor 'R' and the value we bring to every real estate transaction in which we take part. We are part of a unique community where our familial cooperation transcends our business competition. These are not mere platitudes, but our living ideals, and they are, in fact, the foundation on which we conduct ourselves in our day-to-day affairs.
